Newchurch
Art Group
Newchurch Art Group was started in
April 1977.
We are a friendly
and informal group of about 20 who meet every Tuesday evening at ‘All
Saints’ Church Hall.
We paint or draw in our own choice
of mediums - oil, watercolour, acrylic, gouache, pen, pastels or pencil.
Fees are payable quarterly in
advance each January - April - July and October.
With our fees we pay for the hire of
the hall and for a teacher who attends most lessons, visiting each member in the
class during an evening to give help and encouragement. We also pay annually for
a Public Liability Insurance.
Our Art Group is a non-profit making
group who supports local activities and village life. During the year we
have social events which include our Annual Exhibition (which is open to the
public), a Birthday and Christmas party, and occasionally outings and
demonstrations.
Newchurch Art Group keeps a waiting
list and welcomes people who wish to paint and draw in the company of
like-minded folk.
We are open to all who have an
interest in art, although not necessarily any great experience, and meet in the
hall every Tuesday between 7.45pm – 9.30pm if you would like more information.
