Postcards
of the Church
The postcards below
show the Church through the first half of the 20th century (and more?).

Look
at the tree by the hedge in front of the side door, it helps order the cards
if not actually date them.

The Inside of the
Church
This
rather dark card is of the inside of the church, note the pelican lectern and
the old heater with enormous pipe/chimney on the right.

This
modern card shows that the interior of the church looks much the same (except
for the boiler!)

The War
Memorial

The
card on the left shows the War memorial which is situated towards the bottom of the Parish Cemetery, beyond the churchyard. Today the War Memorial is
surrounded by graves.

A Group of Ladies outside the Church Hall.
This looks as though it might have been a gathering of a group like the
Women's Institute. Has anyone any ideas?
Another Gathering outside the Church and Church hall.
This
was Hospital Sunday, it looks as though this might have been at a later date
than the previous picture. Anyone any ideas?
