December 2007

Following an advertisement in the December 2007 edition of this magazine, the Council has received one offer of part of a garden to be used in the ‘garden sharing’ scheme but, as yet, no applicants to cultivate a plot have been forthcoming. Any person interested in taking advantage of the ‘garden sharing’ scheme should contact the Clerk (tel: 865249 or e-mail: newchurchpc@yahoo.co.uk ).

At the December monthly meeting the Council considered two Planning Applications to which it made no objection. A third Application which had been advertised, for siting of a telecommunications mast at Queen Bower Farm, had been withdrawn in advance of the meeting. An additional meeting was held on 10th January 2008 to discuss four more Planning Applications, to three of which the Council made no objection. The Council did, however, object to the proposal to construct a block of three holiday units at Sunnycrest Nursery, Wackland Lane.

The Monthly Meetings of the Parish Council are normally held in Newchurch Parish Hall on the third Monday of each month starting at 7.30pm:
