July 2005At the July monthly meeting
Trudy Draper and Paul Clark were welcomed to the Council as co-opted members and
two nominations were received to fill by co-option the Casual Vacancy that had
arisen following the recent elections. Under Parish and County
Councillors’ Reports the overgrown state of some local Rights of Way was
raised and concern was once again expressed about the speed of traffic through
the village of Newchurch. It was
agreed to invite a representative of Highways to a future Parish Council Meeting
to review traffic issues within the Parish. The Meeting learned that
Alverstone had won a “Best Kept Village” award. Five Planning Applications were considered and it was agreed
to make no objection to any of them.
It was confirmed that no Monthly Meeting would be held in August, the date of the next such meeting being Monday 19th September 2005.
