June 2006

At the monthly meeting on Monday 19th June the Council learned with regret of the resignation of Mr A Jupe. Consequently a “casual vacancy” was declared which may be filled by election, if there is sufficient demand from parishioners, or co-option.

It was resolved to establish a “Rights of Way” committee and a “Parish Hall and Cemetery” committee, and to invite organisation within the Parish to put forward representatives to form a group to lead in the production of a Parish Plan. It was also decided to increase the rental fee for the Parish Hall from £4.00 to £4.50 per hour for casual users and pro rata (12.5%) for those that pay an annual rent.

Five Planning Applications were considered, to two of which the Council decided to object.

The next monthly meeting of the Council will be held on Monday 17th July in the Parish Hall at which it is hoped that an officer of the Rural Community Council (RCC) will brief members on Parish Plans.
