May and June 2007
Recommendations from the Parish Hall “working group” to
help improve the visual appearance of the interior of the Hall were agreed in
principle. A report was received about activity described as “woodland
management” that had taken place on land to the north and east of Hill Farm,
and it was agreed to convey the Council’s concern about the way this matter
had been handled to Natural England as the responsible agency. Three Planning Applications were considered and no
objection raised to any of them. The Clerk presented the accounts for the year
ended 31st March 2007, which were agreed, and the Annual return was
completed and approved.
At the June monthly meeting the Council noted the high
level of response received from parishioners to the Parish Plan questionnaire
and the very successful display that had been held at Newchurch School as part
of the consultation process. Only one Planning Application was considered, to
which no objection was raised. The Council agreed to investigate the possibility of providing a recreation space close to Winford; this was an issue that had featured quite highly in the Parish Plan questionnaire replies. It was also resolved to ask the police for details of the planned frequency of foot patrols by uniformed officers around the centres of population within the Parish.
