The Newchurch Parish Plan 2008

The Parish Plan Steering Committee has been working for the past 18 months prepare a Parish Plan to submit to the Parish Council.  The intention is that the Parish Plan should reflect the views of the people of Newchurch Parish, and set out a vision of the future development of Newchurch Parish that can be used as input to decisions made on a wide range of issues by the County Council and other authorities.

The extensive work programme to prepare the Parish Plan included a detailed questionnaire on a variety of subjects, that was distributed to every household in the Parish.  The response to this questionnaire was much better than had been anticipated, with nearly 450 completed questionnaires being returned.

Residents of the Parish have been consulted throughout the process.  After an initial consultation day in June 2007, a further consultation day was held in January 2008 to present the draft Parish Plan and invite further comments.

The draft Parish Plan that was presented at the January consultation day can be accessed below.  This draft has now been approved by the Parish Council, and it will shortly be finalised and printed.

The Parish Plan Steering Committee would like to thank the residents of Newchurch Parish for their participation in this process, not only in the completion of questionnaires, but also their participation in the consultation process that has led to this Parish Plan document.
